Clayton, the coyote sound you describe is actually me trying to keep in tune.

If we have to go, and Justice Shallow says we must, then what a way to go -- leaning back in the wooden hot tub (designed by Doc, built by all of us) out under the midnight prarie sky, gazing up into and through the edge the Milky Way into infinite space, as a bunch of your favorite people in the world sing shimmering rounds of "O How Lovely," occasionally accompanied by a coyote, and, at dawn, a mockingbird...

I want to die with you all around me.
Gosh, that sounds ghastly. But it's true. Discuss.

The Winedale Ancianos Communal Rest Home is a great idea. I actually have a plan for that, derived from a series of very spartan cabins at the Kielers' ranch in South Texas. 4 bedrooms in each, 2 baths. Common room and kitchen in a separate building. All buildings joined by a long and wide covered front porch. Lots of rocking chairs. Facing a pond. Hot spring tubs. 43 m stars at night + frog music. I can see it now: "hey, Ziggy, 'member the time you busted your ......"

Congrats my Zig, but you were not alone in the barn that night you reenacted Autolycus. You fell very near the dog pile of students in the middle of the stage. Etched in my brain, I still have the painfully funny image of you falling face first into the upright post as your privates firmly held the rest of your body on the banister. I am sure it will be one of those scenes flashing before my eyes as I am taking my dying gasp in the loving comfort of the Winedale Ancianos Communal Rest Home, while the photos Clayton has sent fall from my hands to the floor made of that missing barn beam. I miss you all! I am off to find a good bottle of red wine and drink a health to those that I love.
Love, stanley

Sending big love to all the birthday babies. Truly, truly glad you were all born and that I've been lucky enough to have you in my life. You, too, Doc, even though you were a juvenile delinquent. Perhaps now we know who stole the sheets from the Shelby.

Happy Halloween birthdays to all of you. On October 31,1950, our "gang" had some "fun" tossing balloons filled with paint at passing cars. Until I hit the star on the side of a black and white one.
Memories.

Happy Birthday, Madge! I am proud to say I celebrated my own birthday on Tuesday. Am now proudly 54, but just as proud of comparative youngsters like Madge.

No, we're not dining on treasures from the sea with the Zeigler crowd in the Bay Area--nor are we basking in Winedale Wonder with
Joy
and Co.; it's Madge's birthday breakfast at Mi Madre's here in ATX.
Here's a health to Mary Madge Darlington--and a health to all of you!
