Camera insurance

Hi finance experts, I spent some time looking for camera insurance for the camera that Cascadia has requested funding to purchase. It looks like standalone camera insurance is relatively expensive. Personal insurance, even with an endorsement, won't cover a camera that is used regularly for organizational use. How have other orgs arranged for camera insurance, if you have any? Thanks, Pine

We aren't obliged by local law to keep accounts conventional, so we designed a Excel tables to help us keep track of our budget and also enables us to work through quarterly reports to WMF. In any case, we are interested in finding the best alternatives. Best regards. New Treasurer at WMUK

All, I thought I should drop you a line about Wikimedia UK's new treasurer, Greyham Dawes. I've sat down and had a meeting with him today, and he's really instilled me with confidence. He's not signed up to any lists yet, but I'm sure he'll be helpful when he does - he is a chartered accountant, and indeed has written several books on UK charity accounting. He's also a treasurer at several other organisations in the UK, and used to be head of accountancy policy at the Charity Commission.
