Hi.
I have two clarification requests regarding the Toolserver rules (https://wiki.toolserver.org/view/Rules):
1. There's a new rule now in effect regarding interwiki bots.[1] How will this rule be enforced?
2. There's currently a rule requiring every bot user page to mention that the bot runs on the Toolserver.[2] I don't think this rule is followed very closely (I don't think any of my bots mention where they're hosted at the moment). I believe this rule originated due to a desire to avoid inadvertent autoblock damage on the Toolserver's IP addresses if a bad bot were blocked. But most wikis now whitelist the Toolserver's IP range using https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Autoblock_whitelist. Is this rule still necessary and/or in effect?

I was (and be) a little bit disappointed, that the TS-user were not capable to organize a MMP until 1. April, but I was too busy to write an eMail yet so thanks for the reminder. I extends the date hereby to 15th May. All interwiki-bots which are running on the TS are only tolerated, not allowed, now. If there is no ts-user-organized- MMP until 15th May, I am going to create the (empty) MMP by myself and kill and disable every longrunning interwiki-bot that I find.

I guess we can remove it with the next rule-change-edit. But it is nevertheless a good idea to leave a line on the bot-user-page that the bot is run on the TS.

Just to clarify - is the MMP supposed to be only for interwiki bot, or for entire pywiki running - by which I mean is there supposed to be some sort of job queue to be created and run pywiki bot only in one instance (with second instance for iw) or is this just only for having single iw bot only?

Aside of rules, we can also have recommendations and/or guidelines and this could be one of them.

The MMP is only for long-running interwiki-bots, no matter which language. It is not for other bot-activity (like correcting spelling-errors).
