Am I being dense, or is there no GNU source level debugger (gdb) installed on zedler?
I've tried using dbx to load an image, but it just spawns the executable and then seems to hang forever waiting for it.

i've installed gdb 6.4 as /usr/local/bin/gdb.

this is a known problem with certain versions of the S10 kernel patch: http://sunsolve.sun.com/searchproxy/document.do?assetkey=1-26-102022-1
it affects gdb as well but not quite so annoyingly.

Oh it's like going back in a time machine to 1995. Come back Linux, all is forgiven! :)
