Hi all ! I'd like to remind everyone of you that *we* have to organize the MMP interwikit-bot *before* 15th May ! It just remains a couple of weeks now, so it's beginning to become an emergency… If nothing's done at that date, DaB said he would "kill and disable every longrunning interwiki-bot that [he] find[s]." (see http://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/toolserver-l/2012-April/004913.html)
MF-Warburg created https://wiki.toolserver.org/view/Interwiki_bot_MMP_planning nearly two months ago, but only Luckas Blade, Merlissimo and I had completed it… So we are 3 interested persons at the moment, but all from wikipedia-projects (respectively from ptwiki, dewiki and frwiki), whereas DaB wanted one from a non-wikipedia-project…
So two questions actually : 1) does the actual group (composed of Luckas Blade, Merlissimo and me) suit to you ? 2) is there anybody else interested in joining it ?
Regards, — Toto Azéro
Did this ever get advertise on the en.wikipedia bot owners noticeboard? I was meaning to do it at one stage but never got the time.

I don't think so… But I wonder if it would be useful : actually it's the second mail I send about this MMP… So will TS-users be more attentive to the bot owners' noticeboard than they had been to the mailing list ?

Essentially, I would suggest to just do it. Set up the project with the three of you, set up the structure (e.g. find out how you want to set up the bots; get things like a mailing list sorted out). Once people wake up (which, I'm betting, will not be before DaB. starts killing bots and we see a stream of complaints on toolserver-l) you have everything set up to integrate whatever they have to offer.
If you need any help from the pywikipedia dev-side, feel free to drop a mail to pywikipedia-l@lists.wikimedia.org.
Best, Merlijn
Right, lets just start voting?
Reminder that we only have 8 days left to the deadline (15th May), and it would be good if we can have an election running for 7 days.

Vote on what, exactly, and why should we vote on it at all?
Merlijn
We are supposed to have an election about who is in the MMP.

I think, Unless we get any more people steeping forward (since there is only like less than 10 people discussing it atm), THen just stick everyone in the MMP.
But you would need to check with DaB to see if they are happy with that.

it is up to the TS-users how they organize the MMP. If 5 (or less) volunteers can be found I am happy with that, if the TS-users think they need to vote first I am happy with it too. Maybe a combination would be the best at the moment: Start now with volunteers (who get the MMP starting) and vote later.
Sincerely, DaB.
