there is a button which says "pageview", but i am unsure if this works, or how this works?

Rupert, the pageviews part doesn't work because stats.grok.se can't sustain the load. The WMF has promised several times to help but so far nothing happened; see also https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42259 and all the discussions since 2010.
