Hi,
Are there any arguments against switching to PHP 5? I use the SimpleXML functions for parsing config files because XML is much more flexible (of course you don't want to parse MediaWiki XML dumps with PHP!).
Greetings, Jakob

i have installed php 5.1.1 at /opt/php/bin/php5 (CGI) /usr/local/bin/php5 (CLI) you can copy the first to your $HOME/public_html/cgi-bin/php.cgi if you like.
if there are no problems with these i'll probably make php5 the default on the next upgrade.
