Hello folks,
the database at zedler is unuseable at the moment. I try all recovery-level but nothing work :(. So I guess that we need a new full-non-en-dump from the wikimedia-server-admins to rebuild the database from scratch. There is a backup (4th dec 4:04 UTC) of your user-databases so there will be no or only few data lost.
I CC this eMail to the wikimedia-server-admins. Perhaps somebody there make a nice dump for me :).
Good night,
DaB.

is it possible to restore the user-databases as soon as possible? As I understood, the database recreation will last some time, but two of my tools only need the user database. These tools will work as soon as the database is up again and the user databases are restored. So please don't wait with this until the wikipedia databases are restored.

Yes. When no other root had a better idea then mine (rob try to do something) I would plain the user-backup first before I play in (BTW: Is "play in" the right word in english?) the wm-dump.

Sincerly, DaB.
Hi DaB,
I think typically we use the verb "to restore" when referring to the act of returning a database to a prior state, typically from backups.
