Hello all,
I just got my account set up on the toolserver and I was playing
around with trying to get multi-file flash uploading working.
Unfortunately, I get the following error each time:
HTTP_ERROR - The file upload was attempted but the server did not
return a 200 status code.
I have the uploads directory set to be world writable, and I'm pretty
sure I have the path info set correctly in the script. Is there
anything special I need to do in order to be able to upload files to
the toolserver (via a php script hosted on the toolserver)? Do you
know if mod_security is turned on for example?
The script works fine in the other hosting environments I've tried
(local and a shared web host). If no one has any ideas off the bat,
I'll try to do some more debugging. Thanks!
If anyone wants to try it out for themselves:

hi,
we have now moved several services to the new HA cluster, and it appears
to be working as expected. we will therefore be moving the NFS server
for /home from hyacinth to the cluster on the above date. maintenance
will begin at around 1AM UTC, and should last no longer than 3 hours,
during which time the Toolserver will be offline.
the stable server will not be affected by this maintenance.

hi,
we have now moved LDAP to the HA cluster. as part of the move we
changed the LDAP server software from OpenDS to Sun DSEE. this might
cause odd interactions from 'setpass' or 'passwd'; if you notice any
problems, please file a request in JIRA.

==Watch a category of articles==
2010 is election year in Sweden, so I want to keep an eye on all
articles in category:Swedish politicians, in recursive levels.
I now do this on a weekly basis, using CatScan,
http://toolserver.org/~daniel/WikiSense/CategoryIntersect.php
I set wiki = sv.wikipedia.org
search in category = svenska politiker
with depth = 7
for changes in last 168 hours (= 7 x 24 = one week)
save as CSV format
I then filter the output using the UNIX command line
awk '$1==0 {print $2}'|sort|uniq -c|sort -nr
to get a listing of which articles got the most edits.
It would be nice to intersect this search with category:Living
people, so dead politicians are filtered out.
Are there already any smarter tools to do this?
==Watch a local community==
For a local history project, I want to involve users close to me.
These are found in category:Users in (my home town). From that
category I can view "related changes", but that only covers
changes to their user pages. I want to see contributions made by
this group of users. Are there any tools for this?
If contributions to sv.wikipedia and Wikimedia commons could be
combined in one list, that would be all the better.

hi,
Subversion (svn.toolserver.org) has been moved from amaranth to our new
high availability cluster. we will be monitoring it to make sure
everything is working correctly before moving other services to the
cluster, e.g. NFS and LDAP.
no change is required from users, but you may have to wait up to an hour
(from 16:09 UTC) for DNS changes to propagate before you can access
svn.toolserver.org.
please report any problems in JIRA.
