Hello Michael and social media team,
We just published the Inspire announcement of 16 new grantees on the Wikimedia blog:
http://blog.wikimedia.org/2015/05/01/meet-the-inspire-grantees/
Thanks to Siko, Alex and everyone who helped prepare this announcement! Nice teamwork, you guys — it’s always a pleasure working with you :)
We propose these social media messages:
Twitter:
Meet the Inspire grantees: 16 new projects will receive funding to increase gender diversity on Wikimedia. (link) #gender
Facebook/Google+:
• Meet the Inspire grantees: we're pleased to announce that 16 new projects will receive funding to increase gender diversity in Wikimedia projects. (link)
or, if space allows:
• Meet the Inspire grantees: we're pleased to announce that 16 new projects will receive funding to increase gender diversity in Wikimedia projects. They will help engage women and allies around the world to improve Wikipedia’s coverage and quality -- as well as research and experiment with new ways to support gender diversity on Wikimedia projects. (link)
Feel free to tweak as you see fit.
Thanks for sharing!
Fabrice

Looks like there's a bit of a backlog in promoting recent blog posts on social media (this one had only been featured as a RT on Twitter so far, and we also haven't posted https://blog.wikimedia.org/2015/04/30/how-many-women-edit-wikipedia/ yet which might be partly my fault).
I just sent out the suggested tweet and also posted it on FB and G+. FB doesn't have a character limit, but the thing to keep in mind there is that the headline and an excerpt from the intro are visible anyway, so one may want to avoid repeating these verbatim. I used the second suggestion, but shortened the first sentence for that reason.

Much appreciated, Tilman!
Looks like this fell through the cracks on Friday afternoon.
Michael, this is what I was asking about in our standup yesterday. Let’s set up a more rigorous system for making sure the announcements go out when planned.
But I am glad that we got the FB and G+ out this week, which will probably give this announcement a bit more traction.
All the best,
Fabrice
