Born on this day in 1929 in Bengaluru, India, Shakuntala Devi, known as the
"human computer." In 1980, she correctly multiplied two 13-digit numbers in
only 28 seconds. She also wrote what is considered the first study of
homosexuality in India, a compassionate book now considered pioneering.
