So after the "recycling" of the 2013 Aaron Swartz blog post went well last month, Michael and I were thinking we should post SM for old posts from the Wikimedia blog more often. Google to transfer Freebase to Wikidata

Hi guys, Here’s another piece of movement news that seems worth spreading in social media: Google just announced plans to wind down its Freebase service and to transfer the Freebase data in to Wikidata in mid-2015. https://plus.google.com/app/basic/stream/z122wpyxhob0hjoik04cc3vatw2zfv4zsz… This may sound a bid geeky, but it’s a big deal because it shows wide adoption of our open source structured data format by an industry giant. t: Goodbye Freebase, hello Wikidata! Hi all, I have posted on Facebook the Poco a Poco appeal link.[1] It is getting shared by the chapters, etc. I have posted from @commonsaviation for #avgeeks[2] but I am getting asked by more people within the Commons community to get a tweet out from @wikicommons. Obviously, no-one in the community has access to that account, so it has to be done by you guys at the WMF. This is something that is important to the Commons community.
