Cormac: I see a " <nolink> " in the middle of the Nl: text. Other
than that, it looks good.
Let's aim to make mistakes quickly on this list, without regret. The
faster we make mistakes, the faster we will work them out.
Anthere: Please bear in mind that unhappy people are motivated to
respond; happy people just smile and move on to another email. Most
people I think appreciated your posts to wikipedia-l , Anthere...

Instead, perhaps we could have FUN with them. How about a
conversation in French and Spanish on wp-l ? We could all agree to
take part, with occasional asides in a third language... I would
gladly translate bits for people who follow up in a confused fashion.
I do believe that we have to remind people a bit more regularly about
our multilingualism; right now, everyone acknowledges but forgets
about it; let us not allow that to settle into disbelief and comments

We can do it steps by steps. Each version will bring a

I love a challenge. Plus, I get to tackle translations again myself.
Regarding your planned posting, I have a suggestion to
do. I am not sure I
understand why you want to do this test posting, but for testing if things
are working fine. If not, explain to me the reason of the test ?
I think we should do this, to elicit responses, remind people that
translations are taking place, and use the already-translated blurbs
we have on hand.
Then we can
1) divide the standard notice text into sections, so we can piece
together future messages without being fluent in the target language.
[ Quarto NNN is now available in MMM languages.
Another MM' languages are being translated; you can help <link>.
You can find the current LANG version here <link>. ]
2) send out another notice about the English WQ3 next week, and ask
people again to sign on to the mailing list
3) send out a third notice when the first set of translations are done.
