Summary: Skipping under-construction pages
Initial Comment:
Somteimes bot make some changes in pages with template which mean "under construction", This is sometimes not good. Would it be possible to add some skiplist of templates? It can be useful for skipping templates with included {{documentation}} template. - something like {{Nobots}} template
For cs I mean these templates
{{Pracuje se}} (may be with parameters after | )
{{Dokumentace}}
{{/Dokumentace}}

Summary: New Feature request: Categorizing for Wiktionary
Initial Comment:
I'm requesting a new feature to the "category.py". It
would be much like the "-person" option, but would only
be used in Wiktionary.
This is what it should do:
* I choose a page of the Wiktionary which articles I
want to categorize (like normally).
* It then asks a category to add (like normally).
* When it takes a page, it adds the given category, but
also the sorting key: [[Category:English nouns-pr|???]].
* This sorting key is the name of the page, but without
the two first letters. So the sorting happens with the
third letter of the pagename. For example, if we want
to categorize a page called "project" with this script,
it will give: [[Category:English words-pr|oject]]. Two
first letters are missing, cause they aren't needed
because the category name gives them.
* This feature is used for categorizing Wiktionary
pages with the first two letters of the pagename. Size
of the categories is kept reasonable this way.
Categories are named like: [[Category:English
words-ea]] etc., and these categories are subpages of
[[Category:English words-e]].
Did you get it? I think this script is quite easily
written. This categorizing style is used in the finnish
Wiktionary, so this script would be needed, because
over 10000 articles has to be categorized. Thanks.

Summary: "safe" replace.py
Initial Comment:
I may be approaching this problem incorrectly, but here
goes.
[[en:wikt:User:Connel MacKenzie]]
On the English Wiktionary, I do considerable off-line
analysis of the XML dumps. I'd like to be able to
replace whole entries. But ONLY if they have not
changed in the intervening time. (If any edits to the
entry have been made since the last dump, skip that
entry and reformat it next time.)
The English Wiktionary has pretty specific formats,
(heading levels at ==two== ===three=== ====four====
etc., which headings are subordinate to others,
ordering of headings, formatting of examples,
formatting of etymology, formatting of inflection
lines, valid parts of speech, valid "other" headers,
translation header nesting, multiple etymology
rearrangement, etc.) that do not lend themselves well
to the current replacement robot code. (That is, how
do you reorder whole sections? How do you correct
section levels? etc.)
I can format the input file for this bot in any format
needed. I assume a structure similar to the XML dump
would be best, with <text-to-replace> and
<replace-text-with> sections.
It's hard to believe this hasn't been done before, but
looking at these tools I don't see a better way to
approach this. Ideas anyone?

Your description is fairly general. It looks like this is best handled by
a special robot. Since you are the one that knows exactly what you need,
you would be the best one to program this!
Actually this is quite close to the first ever robot I wrote for the nl:
wikipedia, to reorganize and standardize the date pages, except that it did
not use the dumps....

Summary: interwiki.py should keep links inside <onlyinclude> if there
Initial Comment:
interwiki.py should keep links inside <onlyinclude>, if they are in there.
Currently, interwiki.py changes:
<onlyinclude>
Text
[[en:Foobar]]
</onlyinclude>
to
<onlyinclude>
Text
</onlyinclude>
[[en:Foobar]]
Although this way of embedding interwiki links is just wrong, PyWikipedia should respect it.
Otherwise PyWikipedia might ignore interwiki links inside of <onlyinclude> at all, like inside <includeonly>, <nowiki> etc.??

Summary: replace.py ignores redirects
Initial Comment:
With replace.py there is no obvious possibility to change the content of redirect pages.
There is no -noredirect like for interwiki.py e.g.
I am not sure whether the bot just ignores it or is following the redirect, but I sometimes need to replace content of redirect pages.
Example content:
#REDIRECT [[dest#sec1]]
[[Category:Foobar]]
If the section link (or "../link/" like for mwlwiki) should be replaced or the category etc., there should be the chance to do so.
Maybe it's just a documentation issue?
