The initial problem: I wanted to replace text in categories AND simultaneously add another category, but the addcat function undid the textual replacement. I got it to work, here's the replacement.py diff (the first change is a syntax correction, the second change is from http://osdir.com/ml/pywikipedia-bugs/2009-07/msg00067.html ):

interwiki.py vers. 6312
My interwiki-options are -autonomous -force -noredirect .
As I found at this link e.g. [http://it.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Assiomi_di_Huzita-Hatori&diff=217…] interwiki.py removes redirected interwiki links instead of fixing it during -noredirect option. I supposed that -noredirect ignores links coming from the redirected page and keep or fix the redirect link but not deleting it. In this given case, the english page has been moved before the bot does its work. Here are some statements from the logfile depending on this matter:

There is problem with sr.wikipedia - latin characters in URL or in interwiki are automatically translated to cyrilic, but bot does not recognize it ant wants to remove this valid interwiki

I've found the same problem here, but it could solve it founding a cyrilic
link. Otherwise the sr-link would be deleted:
