After the success of the previous 11 events, we welcome your participation
and contribution to the 12th World Congress on Nature and Biologically
Inspired Computing (NaBIC 2020) to be held online during December 14-16,
2020. NaBIC 2020 is organized to provide a forum for researchers,
engineers, and students from all over the world, to discuss the
state-of-the-art in machine intelligence, and address various issues on
building up human friendly machines by learning from nature. The conference
theme is “Nurturing Intelligent Computing Towards Advancement of Machine
Intelligence”.
**Author guidelines**

The papers should be organized so as to accommodate abstract, introduction,
state-of-the-art, objective, used methodology, obtained results and
references.
Submitted papers should be original and contain contributions of
theoretical, experimental or application nature, or be unique experience
reports.
Proceedings are expected to be published by:

Communication Technologies (WICT 2019), we are organizing WICT 2020 to
provide an opportunity for the researchers from academia and industry to
meet and discuss the latest solutions, scientific results and methods in
the usage and applications of ICT in the real world. The conference
programme will include workshops, special sessions and tutorials, along
with prominent keynote speakers and regular paper presentations in parallel

In the past century, our society has been through several periods of
dramatic changes, driven by innovations such as transportation systems,
telephone etc. Last few decades have experienced technologies that are
evolving so rapidly, altering the constraints of space and time, and
reshaping the way we communicate, learn and think. Rapid advances in
information technologies and other digital systems are reshaping our
ecosystem. Innovations in ICT allow us to transmit information quickly and
widely, propelling the growth of new urban communities, linking distant
places and diverse areas of endeavor in productive new ways, which a decade
ago was unimaginable. Thus, the theme of this World Congress is "Innovating
ICT For Social Revolutions".

**About HIS 2020**

Hybridization of intelligent systems is a promising research field of
modern artificial/computational intelligence concerned with the development
of the next generation of intelligent systems. A fundamental stimulus to
the investigations of Hybrid Intelligent Systems (HIS) is the awareness in
the academic communities that combined approaches will be necessary if the
remaining tough problems in artificial/computational intelligence are to be
solved. Recently, Hybrid Intelligent Systems are getting popular due to
their capabilities in handling several real world complexities involving
imprecision, uncertainty and vagueness. HIS'20 builds on the success of
last years. HIS'20 is the 20th International conference that brings
together researchers, developers, practitioners, and users of soft
computing, computational intelligence, agents, logic programming, and
several other intelligent computing techniques. The aim of HIS'20 is to
increase the awareness of the research community of the broad spectrum of

I'm pleased to share that the Open Access Week Advisory Committee has
announced that this year's theme will be "Open with Purpose: Taking Action
to Build Structural Equity and Inclusion." I'm excited about the
conversations and actions this topic elicits, and its connections to the
Wikimedia movement's own work towards knowledge equity and knowledge as a
service. The full announcement is available in English, Amharic, Arabic,
Japanese, Nepali, Russian, Spanish and Urdu on the open access week website
at http://www.openaccessweek.org/. A French translation will be available
later this week.
Open Access Week runs from October 19-25. Given the move to online
programming during this time of social distancing, I wonder if it would be
useful to offer something geared towards fellow WikiFolx. There's wide
support for open access within our communities, but how might we dismantle
and offer alternatives to the racist and discriminatory practices that
serve as a foundation for so many open spaces, including academic
publishing. If anyone would be interested in brainstorming programming or
other ways we might support this effort, please reach out!
