CIS-A2K is glad to share this update with you. We have started developing partnerships with various institutions in the North East region of India since 2019. We conceptualised the GLAM project with an organization named *Research Institute of World's Ancient Traditions, Cultures and Heritage* (RIWATCH), a non-profit research and community based organisation in Arunachal Pradesh during the year 2020 and proposed it in our 2020-21 plan. But due to the pandemic, the process was delayed. We have launched a GLAM-Wiki project with RIWATCH from March 2022 in collaboration with the West Bengal Wikimedians User Group, which will be helping in coordination and execution of this project. A Wikimedian in Residence has been assigned at RIWATCH to document, organize and upload the data and content of the rich collection of the institute focusing on the oral traditions, language and culture of different tribes in Arunachal Pradesh. The orientation and planning meetings were conducted with RIWATCH members and a local tribal organisation named Idu Mishmi Cultural & Literary Society to develop the GLAM project. After the training of WiR, the GLAM work on Wikimedia Commons has already been started. 'As Open as Possible' - Closing Event of Hessian Open Access Policy Project, 24 March 2022

Dear all, for those of you who understand German, I would like to draw your attention to this closing event of a project that took place in Hesse state during the last year. More than ten cultural heritage institutions from different domains (libraries, archives, museums, i.e. all GLAM areas) worked together and published a common open access policy, in December last year. On 24 March 2022 from 10:00 to 12:00 am (CET), we will look back and describe the journey towards the adoption of the policy document. And we are going to discuss what it means in practice for the different institutions to follow the self-commitment declared by the policy. explanation of the small accident yesterday + sincere apologies

Hello everyone, Yesterday someone asked me to be unsubscribed from the list. As I couldn't find her/his email on the list of subscribers, I accidentally hit the wrong button on the software that manages all the lists (mailman) and unsubscribed everyone from the open-glam list. This was, of course, an accident, as explained here: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T302816 The issue is now solved thanks to the speedy response of Amir & Jcrespo, who I'm really thankful for solving this issue in such a timely manner. Last, this list is moderated because accidents tend to happen more often than we realize, such as people responding to the whole list when they intended to reply to the sender only. And since the unsubscription was a thing I was expecting to be solved promptly (as it fortunately was), that's the reason why I rejected all the incoming emails saying "please subscribe" or "why I have been unsubscribed from the list". My sincere apologies to everyone who felt this was a personal issue and again this won't happen in the future. Thanks again, scann
