Hello everyone,
Creative Commons has agreed to give some resources to the work happening in
Open GLAM. We'll be using this money for three different projects (a
visualization of the Open GLAM survey made by Andrea Wallace and Douglas
McCarthy, an open call for projects, and a call for short stories of Open
GLAM from underrepresented communities).
The call for proposals for Open GLAM stories from underrepresented
communities it's finally open! If you want to find out more and how to
apply, here's more information:
https://network.creativecommons.org/we-want-to-hear-from-open-glam-in-under…
Please help us to distribute it widely!
cheers,
scann
Dear All - I just joined City Library of Rijeka (Croatia)
as Wikimedian-in-Residence and would like to initiate
basic informing and possible education in it,
but also in the city (European city of Culture 2020)
and the country (this might be the first effort in Croatia).
Is there a good document or video to consult
on what to do first and how to advance my host

Hi everyone,
I'm Sam from Urban Archive <http://urbanarchive.org/>, a small
tech-nonprofit based out of NYC. We merge open city data with the digital
collections of dozens of museums, libraries, and city agencies, making it
easy for anyone to explore today's rapidly-changing urban environments in a
single place.
We have 70+ partners across four cities & recently started a blog series
called *Q&Archives* to provide a window into some of our conversations,
collaborative workflows, as well as challenges that come up in the
development process.
I thought it might be of interest to some of you:

Feel free to reach out to just say hello or with anyone questions related
to this kind of map/glam work!
Cheers,
Sam

Hello everyone,
Just a reminder that tomorrow we'll have our Open GLAM call, happening at
Uberconference: https://www.uberconference.com/openglam at 2 PM UTC. Check
your timezone to know at what time you're supposed to be on the call!
We have a lot of interesting stuff to share. First, the first draft of the
White Paper is almost done - Andrea is working on final details and
hopefully we'll be able to start circulating that by the end of
July-beginning of August, but we're getting closer to reaching this
milestone.
We also have some important news to share about funding for some small
projects, and some housekeeping issues such as logo & website redesign.
During the day I'll be updating the agenda. You can find the agenda and log
of past meetings here:

PS: If you want to unsubscribe from the list please follow Liam's
instructions. Do not email everyone asking to be unsubscribed, we'll
appreciate it.
For anyone wanting to be unsubscribed (aka "deleted") from a mailing list
using the 'mailman' software - as this list is - you can perform the action
yourself. You do not need to email everyone else on the mailing list in
order to do this.
1. Click the link in the footer of every email (in this case it is
https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/open-glam )
2. scroll down to the 'change my settings or unsubscribe'.
3. Insert the email address you are subscribed with, then click the button.
4. On that page is a button that says "unsubscribe". Click it.
5. You will receive an email requesting confirmation, click the link.
