Hi Teri, Pine, et. al.
I am in the process of working on two things that should make this kind of information more readily available:
- I am supporting development of the GLAM-Wiki Bootcamp with Dominic McDevitt Byrd at NARA, and part of that process, trying to develop some teaching materials that can be used more broadly in the international community. - I am in the process of drafting a consultation, and gathering some data on the main GLAM-Wiki documentation being used. I will be notifying this list at that time.
Once we know where all the gaps are from the consultation: I only have so much time in a week -- so developing all of the documentation is not possible just from me and needs to fall, in part, to the community-- this is where working on Learning Patterns, or developing how to guides as you work on projects, is quite important. I will be triaging the gaps, into some clear documentation needs sometime this fall, and hope that everyone on this list can find time to help with that.
In the short term, there are a few decent resources for developing metrics:
- https://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/GLAM/Resources/Tools - https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Evaluation/Program_resources/GLAM#Met... - https://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/GLAM/Evaluation_of_GLAM-Outreach_Activit...
There are some substantial gaps in the documentation, and some of the recommendations are out of date. So those of you who have experience: please also look at the links if you can.
Cheers,
Alex Stinson

Hi Teri,
This might be included in a video series that I'm producing. The videos are likely to be available late this year, and I'm planning to discuss GLAM tools, although time limitations will force tradeoffs regarding which subjects the videos will cover. In the meantime, I'm pinging WMF's new GLAM liason, Alex Stinson, who may be able to point you in the right direction and/or may be able to create relevant documentation.

I second the desire for a laymen’s guide for partner analytics for GLAM institutions. We report monthly to internal stakeholders on the Museum & Library’s Wikipedia contributions. Having a guide to the analytics so that we could better convey these statistics would be most appreciated.
