As some of you may know, Jeff Guin, who started the GLAM-wiki collaboration
at the Chemical Heritage Foundation in Philadelphia, PA, USA has recently
moved to a very cool job at the Wolfsonian in Miami Beach, Florida, USA.
Initiatives he started here include CHF's Wikipedian in Residence
position and the GLAM Cafe initiative, an ongoing monthly get-together for
digital humanities and Wikipedia folks. Jeff is working to get something
similar going at the Wolfsonian and would like to make contact with
Wikipedians in the Miami area. I promised I would notify people on
GLAM-related mailing lists. If you are interested in possible developments
at the Wolfsonian, you can contact Jeff directly, using his new email at
the Wolfsonian: jguin(a)thewolf.fiu.edu
Thanks! Mary Mark Ockerbloom, Wikipedian in Residence, Chemical Heritage
Foundation

current collaborative Wikipedia projects.
On Monday, October 27th, the first webcast series installment will focus on
citation and reference on Wikipedia. This session will include

Hello,
Wikimedia DC has submitted a proposal to the Wikimedia Foundation to cover some of the costs of our programs, including costs for running edit-a-thons and small grants for Wikimedia outreach throughout the United States. Please review the proposal here[1] and provide feedback.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,

Hello All,
I just wanted to share that I recently confirmed that the National World
War One Museum at Liberty Memorial in Kansas City will be participating in
the WWI and Dissent editathons coordinated by Wikimedia UK! See
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/WW1_and_Dissent for more
details. I would like to encourage other GLAMs to participate: it seems
like a great opportunity for international collaboration!
This will be the first Wikimedia activity in relationship to the National
WWI Museum. Very excited to start communications with them!
