I was at Syracuse this last weekend, and the trees weren't fully budding yet. We probably have 2-3 more weeks before the beginning of flowering (this years winter is ending extremely early).
There is a also a good chance I will be moving to Syracuse in August -- so if anyone starts contact/conversation please cc me -- I may be able to help more directly. If we do move, my wife will be attending their food studies program -- so I might have an excuse for approaching the artist as well.
Cheers,
Alex Stinson

Thanks for following up on this, Andy! I echo your two questions.
Just so the list knows: I have contacts in Syracuse and will personally be there as well, so photos of the one on the University of Syracuse’s campus will be covered (of course, if others want to photograph it too, the more the merrier). That one I could locate based on the look of the campus buildings in the background of the photo on the artist’s website.

It will soon be spring! ;-)
And that means the beautiful "Tree of 40 Fruit":
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tree_of_40_Fruit
of which there are several examples scattered around the USA, will briefly be in flower.
We need some openly-licensed images, for Wikipedia and its sister projects. Can you help, please?
Thinking about this further, it seems that there are two tasks that will help:
- Determining where the trees are
- Reaching out to local Wikimedians
Can anyone help, or offer advice, on either of these, please?
