I agree we should not tell the svgtranslate people to move back to the
grid. I don't have a strong opinion on whether these fonts should be
in the PHP images or in the base images.
This choice is not meant to guide future policy,
though. This particular
horse is already out of the barn, but going forward the answer for new
feature requests in the shared images should be 1) work around it 2)
wait for build packs, or 3) get consensus among people on this mailing
list. I would expect #3 to happen rarely if at all.
+1 to this approach.
