External Email - Exercise Caution Dear GBIF colleagues,
We’re pleased to announce the opening of the call for sessions for Living Data 2025, a joint meeting of the TDWG, GBIF, OBIS and GEO BON networks, hosted by Instituto Humboldt from 21 to 24 October in Bogotá, Colombia.
We and our co-organizers invite you to submit your proposalhttps://www.livingdata2025.com/calls.html for an organized session at Datos Vivos/Living Data 2025. Sessions should reflect the work of GBIFhttps://www.gbif.org/, OBIShttps://obis.org/, TDWGhttps://www.tdwg.org/ and GEO BONhttps://geobon.org/, including, but not limited to, monitoring and observation of the natural world, data standards, data mobilization and the ways in which these efforts contribute to policy-making and our understanding of bio- and geodiversity.
Sessions should reflect at least one of Living Data’s four themeshttps://www.livingdata2025.com/themes.html:
1. Open data 2. Data integration 3. Biodiversity data application 4. Community engagement, participation and capacity building
Organized sessions can be symposia, panel discussions, lightning sessions, and other formats in which the primary purpose is to convey information and engage the audience. Workshops are welcome, but must be approved by the Organizing Committee in prior to submission.
We will promote this call vigorously after the holiday break, and hope you can help us with that work beginning early in January.
Learn more about this call and submit your proposal on the Datos Vivos 2025 websitehttps://www.livingdata2025.com/. Contact the organizersmailto:info@livingdata2025.com with questions or to propose a workshop.
All the best, Kyle ===== Kyle Copas Head of Communications +45 28 75 14 75 | office +45 35 32 14 75 | skype kylecopas
