Hi there,
Hope my email finds you well. I need to know how can I access to coordinates of specific geographical places within this log:
https://dumps.wikimedia.org/other/pagecounts-raw/
Thanks in advance, Nima Dashtban
Nima,
I don't think that's possible. You would need to gather the co-ordinates separately, and then match them to the articles in the pagecount list. But I'm not an expert!

Hi Nima,
First, the pagecounts-raw dataset is deprecated. Please switch to the pageviews or pagecounts-ez datasets as explained on this page: https://dumps.wikimedia.org/other/analytics/
Now, if you have a page title, and you'd like to know its coordinates, the page itself has to be using the coord template in its source, for example:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Biberach_(1800) has {{coord|48||06|N|9||48|E|display=title}} in its source.
To see a large-scale index of this kind of data, see http://www.geonames.org/wikipedia/
So right now this is pretty manual, as Richard guessed. But it's possible and it'll get easier if folks like you make a good case for why it's useful.

A very nice person pointed me to how you can get the coordinates from the API. For example, if you need them for Paris, you can look at this query:
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&format=json&prop=coo...
And in general, just substitute the page title you need for Paris and use the project you need instead of en.wikipedia.org
