Hi!
I'm looking to generate some data around what percentage of articles have Wikidata descriptions for English, and a few other languages. The reason is that the Mobile Apps Team is planning on tackling a project next quarter to get users entering Wikidata descriptions.
What's the best way for me to get this data?
Thanks, Dan
Hi Dan,
Here is one way: You can use http://tools.wmflabs.org/wikidata-terminator/ to go to the top 1000 missing descriptions in some languages. If you choose a specific language, you can download the full list for that languages. The lists are updated daily.
Best, Leila

wb_items_per_site table on wikidata has all the site links and wb_terms has descriptions, if such query is efficient enough (not really sure) on labs or analytics. (or dumps of these are available)
otherwise, would be pretty easy to get from a json dump + wikidata toolkit.
Cheers, Katie

Awesome! Very awesome! But why "few" and not just "other languages"? :)

I'm trying to make a presentation and presenting every single language on a single slide is not possible, so I scoped it smaller.
Ideally, yes, I would love to have this information for all the languages. :-)
