Hi,
just a quick heads up that due to database issues, geowiki currently cannot update daily with new data.
So pages with daily active editor counts like
http://gp.wmflabs.org/graphs/active_editors_total http://gp.wmflabs.org/graphs/enwiki_editor_counts http://gp.wmflabs.org/graphs/frwiki_editor_counts http://gp.wmflabs.org/graphs/eowiki_editor_counts [...]
and the private per country breakdowns at
https://stats.wikimedia.org/geowiki-private/
will not see updates until the issue is resolved.
Older data is not affected by the issue. So data up to May 1st is good to use (with the usual geowiki caveats).
Best regards, Christian
P.S.: The root issue is not severe, and I guess it can be fixed in the next couple of days.

up to now, only a hand-full of people have access. It needs an Ok from Toby, a signed NDA, and some time.

problem solved. Thanks Sean!
Geowiki is showing good data again.
Data for missing days has been back-filled.
Best regards, Christian
http://gp.wmflabs.org/ is apparently not working again. Is this known and worked on?
Thanks,
A.

Can it be that you are referring to the graphs that we took offline end of 2013 due to privacy concerns?
(See our mail exchange from November 2013. Especially the email

As we said back then, you have access to the files via
https://stats.wikimedia.org/geowiki-private/
All the public graphs seem to be working fine:
http://gp.wmflabs.org/graphs/enwiki_editor_counts# http://gp.wmflabs.org/graphs/dewiki_editor_counts# http://gp.wmflabs.org/graphs/frwiki_editor_counts# [...]
and are showing current data.
Have fun, Christian
I meant the "Core" graphs, the ones displayed when typing the http://gp.wmflabs.org/ URL into your browser's address bar. They currently show up completely empty, for me.
Since they are massively aggregated by region ("Active Editors by Global North / South"), I don't see the privacy concern there.
Thanks,
A.

Yes, those graphs have been pulled in 2013. You can access the corresponding data through
https://stats.wikimedia.org/geowiki-private/
. For example the “all”, “5+”, “100+” absolute numbers for Global North / Global South are in
https://stats.wikimedia.org/geowiki-private/global_south.csv
. The Global South fraction data is in
https://stats.wikimedia.org/geowiki-private/global_south_editor_fractions.cs...
.
Best regards, Christian

Yes, those graphs have been pulled in 2013.
While the data for the graphs has been pulled in 2013, I agree that showing empty graphs makes the dashboard look broken.
So the graphs without data have been removed from the dashboard [1]. So the dashboard no longer shows empty graphs.
Have fun, Christian
