It seems that a bug was filed subsequently for this issue, but not yet linked in this thread: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49266
See also this page: http://stats.wikimedia.org/wikispecial/EN/SummaryFOUNDATION.htm - it says on top that the data is outdated (August 2012), but the page views chart is dated October 2013 and shows a very sharp rise during the last two or three months (although perhaps this is an artefact from https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/56006 ).
The home page on wikimediafoundation.org is linked from the footer of every (non-mobile) page on every WMF project, but the number at http://stats.grok.se/www.f/201310/Home seems suspiciously low for a web page with >50 million incoming links. From the perspective of the communications team, it would be particularly interesting to know more about the true readership of this page.

I need a bit more than a suspicion that these counts are too low. Why do you think these numbers are incorrect?
- Main page visits are 4 order of magnitudes lower than on Meta.
http://stats.grok.se/meta.m/top 2) To check, I've set Firefox to reload a page every 2 s (IIRC wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Canwebelieveinstats )for several hours and I didn't find it in the raw data.
