Hello fellow Ambassadors,
I've signed up to present on how I, and a college professor, implemented the Wikipedia Education Program in a class with undergraduate students in the Global STEMx Virtual Conferencehttp://stemxcon.com/page/2013-conference. My workshop is titled "Transforming learners into global citizens through Wikipediahttp://stemxcon.com/forum/topics/transforming-learners-into-global-citizens-through-wikipedia" and is scheduled for Friday, 9/20 at 9:00am EST. This is a totally open, free, virtual conference that truly is global.
I've also submitted proposals to present at the Homeschool/Unschool/Democratic Education conference http://www.homeschoolconference.com/ (also totally open, free, online and global), and Computers in Librarieshttp://www.infotoday.com/cil2014/CallForSpeakers.asp(unfortunately, not free or virtual, but still a good conference). I do not yet have the links (or even know if my proposal will be accepted) at these latter conferences yet. However, I wanted to send out this announcement as *all of these conferences are still accepting (and still need) good presenters, and I can't think of a better way to get out there and reach a LOT of global educators!!*
Please join me and submit a proposal to present--you can make a presentation from 20-45 minutes in length, virtually, from any computer in the world. *Also, sign up as a participant, or as a conference volunteer to assist in moderating sessions! Since this is a free conference, they really need help in any way they can get it.*
Thank you!
