The summative coursework for this program is an original research project submitted through a dissertation.
My dissertation will examine the uses of AI on Wikipedia and how Wikipedians are implicated by them. I am inviting Wikipedians to participate in 45-minute- to 65-minute-long interviews. In these interviews, we will discuss:
*
Your background as a Wikipedian
*
The work you do on the platform
*
Your observations about how Wikipedia has changed over time
*
Your comments about AI
*
Your ideas about what AI means for Wikipedia
*
Anything else you may find relevant and important to this topic
This project is looking for 10 participants. Interviews will be conducted throughout April 2024 remotely via Zoom. Participants' identities will be anonymized to remove any personally identifying information.

Dear colleagues,
The NLP4Health Lab <https://nlp4health-lab.github.io/> in the Department of
Medical Informatics at the Amsterdam UMC
<https://www.amsterdamumc.org/en/research.htm> and University of Amsterdam
<https://www.uva.nl/en> is hiring *one postdoctoral researcher *and *two
PhD students* in *Responsible Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine
Learning (ML) for Healthcare*, all positions are fully-funded. Do you have
a strong background in NLP and ML, and a keen interest in large language
models and healthcare? Please consider applying, we are accepting
applications (until March 15*)!
Please check details and apply via the links below:
- PhD positions:
https://werkenbij.amsterdamumc.org/en/vacatures/research/2-phd-positions-in…
- Postdoc researcher position:
https://werkenbij.amsterdamumc.org/en/vacatures/research/postdoctoral-resea…
The positions are funded by an NGF AiNed Fellowship Grant for the
"CaRe-NLP: Human-Centric and Responsible NLP methods for Dutch healthcare"
project. The overall goal of the project is to develop human-centric and
responsible NLP and ML methods for healthcare in the Netherlands, Europe,
and worldwide. We will design, build, and evaluate state-of-the-art large
language models (LLMs) for healthcare data that include (combinations of)
free-text clinical notes collected in primary/secondary/intensive care
settings, medical images, time series measurements, medical knowledge
graphs, and multi-modal electronic heath records (EHRs). Our methods' goals
are to ensure privacy and fairness, prevent bias, cope with data scarcity,
and be interpretable and explainable. We collaborate with a network of
clinicians across multiple specialties, and you will tackle relevant
clinical problems with real-world impact.
The project team is led by dr. Iacer Calixto and prof. Ameen Abu-Hanna, and
we are housed at the Amsterdam UMC location University of Amsterdam in the
beautiful city of Amsterdam.
(Please feel free to share with your students/communities!)
Have a great week,
Iacer.
To,
The UNIVERSE OF A WIKIMEDIAN
The INFINITE KNOWLEDGE SPACE
🙏❤
Sharing knowledge a new way. But I alone can do nothing as per my life
exprtinces when I had no books to study you gave me a whole universe of
knowledge to study and learn from. I want to express my emotions in few
words. But whatever the case may be I will do anything if the foundation is
with me.
|| Together we will ||
"Can" once the irreplaceable word for me now got replaced by "Will" after
realizing the worth of foundation and with a clearity the foundation is not
a neulcer in size to whom I would try to make realized it's worth. So a
tiny nuclear is me who realized it's worth only after meeting it's
infinite/ultimate source of living the universe the Wikimedia foundation.
I LIVE THE BOOKS THUS MY LIVING IS A BLESSING OF MY UNIVERSE AND I AS A
TINY NUCLEAR EXPRESSES THAT THE EXISTANCE ITSELF OF HIM IS WORTH EXISTING.
To shape
To dream
To achieve
To build
To heal
To educate
To fly
To serve
To help
To save
To guide
To solve
To contribute
To hounor
To live
To give
To grow
Words have limits until they are shared. I learn when you share it on my
hands. I accelerate my wings to my fullest to utilize this blessing as much
as I can within as less as only the Light can. Thus as the words are
limitless and so I am now with these power words and I am smart and alert
enough to let my Intelligence work freely to keep expressing my
gratefulness to the organization in the best way to deliver them proud as
long as the universe lives and as quick as only the Light can. I simply
believe in analyse and experience and an experiment after having both is a
solver experiments.
|| To + Gather all words ever made in the universe till the moment + We +
Will ( Can was irreplaceable until "I"Was. Now its "U" and "I")
Hence Instead of gathering all words alone to express my gratefulness for
whatever I have in my life I choose the Intelligent way. When you and I
gather then alone I become 2 as together.
Wating for an inspiration reply as always containing the contribution gate
way of the foundation to continue the work of mine for foundation's
betterment. Your growth is my growth.
TO ( UNIVERSE WORDS ) WILL
TO U & I VERSE WILL
TO UnI VERSE WILL
TO I&U VERSE WILL
TO (ME) & (TA) VERSE WILL
TO METAVERSE WILL
TWO META VERSE WILL
1st UNIVERSE = JIMMY WALES
2nd UNIVERSE = MARK JUCKERBERG
ME = Mother tounge of your metropolitan for "I" as a subjective pronoun in
meaning
TA = Mother tounge of my village as subjective pronoun for "You" ( May
vary in accordance with geographical distribution)

Article on this topic
Machine learning versus Artificial intelligence
Artificial and Intelligence are two different types of definitions in which these two are used in a purely abstract context and not necessarily a good fit for the definition in this way of the use of this aspect of the world of software development that has been created by a self learning machine and is an excellent definition for the most sophisticated technology in all aspects of the industry of big data.
Thus the term machine learning is a bit more to the point of this issue with definition of the technology
I'm subscribing in hopes that someone can please help me understand why the
world hates me. Everyone but me knows what's going on with my life. Why?
What was on the sd card that got me into this? What did I do to anyone to
deserve all this? All I want is answers I'm tired of not knowing but
everyone else does

*Information Retrieval from Microblogs during Disasters (IRMiDis)*
https://sites.google.com/view/irmidis-fire2022/irmidis
Track in conjunction with FIRE 2022 (http://fire.irsi.res.in/fire/2022/home),
December 9-13, 2022, Kolkata (Hybrid Event)
The IRMiDis track aims to develop datasets and methods for solving various
practical research problems associated with a disaster or pandemic
situation. The IRMiDis track has been run successfully with FIRE in the
years 2017, 2018 and 2021.
This year IRMiDis will consist of two important classification tasks over
microblogs/tweets associated with the COVID-19 pandemic:
(1) classifying tweets according to their vaccine-related sentiment
(pro-vaccine, neutral, anti-vaccine)
(2) identifying tweets that mention someone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms,
which is useful for detecting upcoming surges in COVID cases
For both tasks, we will provide training data annotated by human workers,
and test data for evaluating the submitted models.
*All participating teams will get to publish a working notes paper in
the FIRE workshop proceedings. The two best-performing teams in each task
will be awarded winner and runner-up certificates, and their names will be
put up on the track website.*
Training data has already been released. Participating teams need to submit
runs by August 1. More details on how to participate are on the IRMiDis
site: https://sites.google.com/view/irmidis-fire2022/irmidis.
Kind Regards,
