Dear Members, I will like to sincerely thank the AWMD core team for such an opportunity which was made possible by enabling us to get hands-on work to solve real-time issues in the Wikimedia movement. I write to encourage us all to keep our devotion burning and show the light from Africa because indeed we are of great potential.
Through the AWMD program, I was opportune to work on a community engagement project on contract and I had to build the FormWizard[1] extension for MediaWiki. I encourage our developers to have a look and propose other features which we can add to make the extension better. Your contributions are most welcome.
At the moment the extension seems to be in its final stage, so we expect to find simple bugs which can be fixed by AWMD members ( You can hit me up if you are interested )
I will conclude by saying "Indeed Africa has the potential and let us make use of this great gift from the Movement and shape the vision of the WM Movement in out own way.
Cheers! Egbe.
Hello Eugene,
It's good to see the progress you're making around your works. Keep it up and feel free to use the work board to file **beginner issues** for starters to pick up and make their first contributions. If at the end of the day, we keep being the same people making patches, we've not achieved anything around the project (except personal development for ourselves) but it's good we (ourselves) are making progress in our contributions but we need to bring in as more people as possible from Africa to make progress in the too much work available.
Keep it up!
