Hi Comrades,
Its been a month and a half already since we started this journey. So far
we have had a major event in Ghana and minor MediaWiki session in Cameroon.
As mentioned in our trainings we need participants from the countries that
have already hosted an event to pull their weights, especially Ghana, as
we are the only country that has benefitted from a full training. We are
likely to request for some slots at some global gathering of Wikimedians
(Wikimania, Wikimedia Hackathon, etc.), however we need to show that we
deserve it and I trust that won't be an issue in the coming months.
We owe the winners of last month an applause for their awesome
contributions. Read more about their work here
<https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T169573>, and endeavour to be at the top
this month, because at the end of this month we will award the winners of
both months and award the volunteer with the highest cumulative points. We
will be publishing the names of those on the leaderboard to the Wikimedia
Blog this month as we post a blog about the project so far.
