Thank you to Mckensie Mack of Art+Feminism and Heather Hart of Black Lunch table for calling in to join us. Thanks also to the Brooklyn Library. *AfroCROWD Program Director, Sherry Antoine, speaks at the United Nations *AfroCROWD program director, Sherry Antoine, represented AfroCROWD speaking at the United Nations ITU Summit on the Digital Divide January 30th. The goal of the event? Discuss efforts to close the digital divide worldwide.
50% of the world is online- how do we leave no one behind? For us at AfroCROWD, a start is relevance through inclusion in not only internet content, but training in content creation by more women and people of every color and background, in their language, dialect, image and stage of technological capacity. Thanks to the embassy of Rwanda, Estonia, the Internet Society and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for having this event.
