Nearly a truism these days. BLP issues coming 100 at a time in a sort of 
class action suit could do it ...

Odder thought - mailing lists and newsgroups look more vulnerable (to 
civility problems, that is). Wikis tend to become dull, churn rate 
slows, maintenance mode takes over.
