Hi folks,
As part of Wiki Loves Monuments, I'm organising a one-day photography contest in
Chester on 7 September. The aim is fairly simple - to get good-quality photographs of some
of Chester's most important listed buildings. Contestants will be given a target list
and will have most of the day to take photographs before returning to the venue to start
uploading. Chester is an incredibly beautiful city with some truly unique buildings, so
nobody should be short of something to photograph!
The aim is for the event to be a fun day out for experienced Wikipedians and newbies
alike, so of course I need people to come and take some photos! I also need some
experienced editors to come and help the less experienced through the upload process and
generally be on-hand just in case.
For more information, including a link to the (very simple) registration form, please
see
http://uk.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_Takes_Chester. Please feel free to share with
anyone you think might be interested.
If you're willing to assist others with uploading, please also email me off-list.
Thanks,
Harry Mitchell
