Thanks for sharing the link to Nada's fundraiser, Lucy. It's great seeing
people from the movement coming together to help one another. I was
pondering emailing yesterday to see if and how WMUK would be able to
support her logistically/bureaucratically. From the limited information I
was able to find online, it seems not much can be done with the FCDO, so
not really sure what sort of assistance a UK organisation can offer. But
if there is anything that can be done, I'm sure she would greatly
appreciate it!
Nick,
Manassa (
https://manassa.co/) is a free platform offering digital courses
and training in Arabic catered specifically to the human rights NGOS and
activists. If I think of something else, I'll let you know.
Hope this helps,
Farah

Thanks Lucy - on a related note, might anyone know of
free training
courses that are reputable & available in English & Arabic? Project
management, fieldwork, finance, reporting, soft skills, administration.
An ex-student working in a human right NGO in Gaza would like their
colleagues to be able to train while unable to do normal duties. I'd be
really grateful if you know of anything.
Thanks
Nick

reach the UK for Chevening interview

Dear all
Some of you may have seen this already on Wikipedia Weekly but I wanted to
draw your attention to a fundraiser
<https://www.gofundme.com/f/urgent-help-nada-leave-gaza-to-get-chevening-scholarship>
to enable the Wikipedian and doctor Nada Al Farra to leave Gaza in order
to attend an interview for a Chevening Scholarship. Nada has an offer from
Greenwich University to study a Masters in Global Health Management, and if
successful the Chevening Scholarship would cover all fees and other costs.
This fundraiser is specifically for the border crossing fees at Rafah.
Please don't feel obliged to contribute, but I wanted to share the link in
case anyone feels able to make a small donation:

Best
Lucy
