(via Martin Hawksey):
This workshop will give a practical introduction to OER for teaching
information literacy. Though a mixture of presentation, group work and
hands-on activity participants will learn to find, evaluate and consider
adopting OER for use in their own practice.
Participants are invited to identify opportunities where OER can enhance
their current teaching and to bring their own materials along to the session
to release as OER.
At the end of this session participants will:
* Gain an overview of Creative Commons licencing and be able to add a
chosen licence to a resource
* Be introduced to the OER repositories to find existing resources
and to add their own
* Reflect on personal attitudes and behaviour in relation to Open
Practice
A free sandwich lunch and drinks will be provided. We are looking forward to
seeing you there!
