Dear all
I'm delighted to introduce *Sandy Balfour* as Wikimedia UK's Interim Chief
Executive while I'm on maternity leave. Sandy has spent a couple of days
with the team this week and is learning about the organisation and the
wider Wikimedia movement whilst getting to know the staff team.
I will be starting my leave on Monday and am planning to return in October.
Sandy will be covering my post part time, with some of my responsibilities
being covered by Daria Cybulska, Head of Programmes and Evaluation.
*Sandy has a varied and extensive background - including both executive and
non executive roles in the charity sector - and brings skills in
leadership, financial management, education, media and communications. He
is also a published writer and journalist. I'm sure many of you will get
the opportunity to meet Sandy over the next seven months, in particular at
the AGM in July.*
*With best wishes*
*Lucy *
