Hi,
Since this is being discussed in open lists,
I request community members not to engage with this issue directly. Doing
so will only complicate the issue further. Any community member getting
such mails can forward them to chapter at wikimedia dot in .
Wikimedia Chapter (India) is well informed of this issue and will take care
of this in a formal way.
Thanks,
Ravi

documents and understand what Wikimedia Chapter is and what it is not

I've got this mail six times in bcc.
Please look into it.
Any more mails of this nature will go into my trash bin.

REBLOGGED BY IACTECHS(a)GMAIL.COM on behalf of India Against
Corruption's members who are users / editors of Wikipedia community
This is a protest circulated against the strange decision by Anivar
Aravind to hastily close the Q&A session for candidates after IAC
poses uncomfortable queries from the "community"
To: nethahussain(a)gmail.com, and other candidates and WMIN members.
We notice that you are a member of the WIKIMEDIA.IN website and
actively promoting LGBT issues there including for your election
campaign.
We suppose you know that at the present time "carnal intercourse
against the order of nature" is against India's laws, and distributing
grossly obscene / pornographic images of it via WIKIMEDIA.IN is a
serious criminal offence which IAC has reported to the concerned
agencies and is seriously prosecuting. IAC is also monitoring
WIKIMEDIA.IN to assist law enforcement agencies.
This email is being sent to you as the illegally appointed returning
officer Anivar Aravind has deleted IAC's query for all candidates for
the WMIN EC vacancies (which was publicly posted to WIKIMEDIA.IN by
one of IAC's volunteers as a member of the "community").
http://wiki.wikimedia.in/Elections2014/Nominations/Q%26Ahttp://wiki.wikimedia.in/index.php?title=Elections2014%2FNominations%2FQ%26…
PS: And another editor was banned from WIKIMEDIA.IN for asking queries
on racism and discrimination against Indians at WIKIPEDIA, again by
Anivar who also refuses to publish the non-existent Karnataka Society
Rule 1961 to prevent community members posing queries (which actual
official rules can be accessed here)
https://www.karnataka.gov.in/karigr/actsrules/karnatakasocietiesact.htm
from which it is abundantly clear that you are ineligible to contest
elections and Anivar cannot conduct it.
Dear members,
I am once again reminding all member edits without mentioning membership
No. on Q&A page will be reverted .
~ regards
Anivar

Dear friends,
You may be aware that we (my family) have released a font family earlier.
Here is some background if you are not aware of it.
On the first death Anniversary of Yogini Joglekar(my aunt), our family
released AksharYogini (Normal) Font on 1st Nov. 2006. This font is
primarily for Marathi language but can also be used for Hindi (for any
language using Devanagari). It also has English support. Later on, on the
occasion of Gudhipadwa (Chaitra Shuddha 1, 1931; that is 27th March 2009) ,
we released the additional fonts to complete the "AksharYogini font
family". This font family was/is made available on the site
http://aksharyogini.sudhanwa.com for free usage/distribution/sharing.
Today, on the occasion of Eighth Death Anniversary of Yogini Joglekar, we
are now releasing an updated "AksharYogini font". This font is also
available on the same website http://aksharyogini.sudhanwa.com
This is an updated font and has support for the new (MS Windows) operating
systems where the internal mechanism for font rendering is changed. Also,
it has additional characters for the current Unicode standard and the Rupee
Sign is also included.
Most important is the licensing. The new release is under the Open Font
License. As such, all Linux distributions will be able to freely use it in
their packaging.
Please feel free to use, share, distribute the new font. You can download
it from http://aksharyogini.sudhanwa.com .
Give us feedback on my email id or the official id for the font "
aksharyogini at sudhanwa.com " You can also comment on the guestbook on the
website.
Do share this news and also the font.
Wishing you a Very Happy Diwali !!
Thanks and regards
-Sudhanwa
