OK, so... I often deal with language names, and I
don't always bring it up
with the Language committee, because it is usually not controversial.
I think I'll summarize it like this:
1. There are patches already. Once there is a decision, they just need to
be merged, and they'll be deployed to the live Wikipedia a few days later:

2. It's difficult to determine what is "authoritative" here.
3. The replies at

appear to be reasonable. Most variants listed there say "lombard".
4. If there are no objections until May 30, I'll merge the patches, and
they'll (probably) be deployed during the week after that.
