I believe we need to have alternating meetings that will enable
Australians, Japanese and Chinese Wikimedians to attend and participate,
although I'm not certain what times would be best for this.
Possibly around 1500 UTC?

Hi @all,
look here:
http://picasaweb.google.com/reschke.michael/Wikiversity
and there:
http://de.wikiversity.org/wiki/Wikiversity:Stundenplan
It's German, but I think, you will understand quick, what we intend at the
German Wikiversity. We made templates for a schedule of lessons and added
our logo and a short information about our project:
Wikiversity. Learning and teaching. Wikiversity is the new online learning
community for schools and universities.
You can easily find us at http://de.wikiversity.org.
Something like this could be interesting even for other projects, especially
for other Wikiversities...
Michael from Germany
A short info, it would be nice, if my mail with the templates could be
posted to the list
Cheers,
Michael from Germany

I want YOU for the Communication Projects Group!
If you don't know where I got that from, then you need to go look it up. Now. In all seriousness, however, the Communication Projects Group is looking for members, and we're easier than ever to join! (continue reading)
Press Pack
Heya all! I thought I might just give an update on the Press Pack. I've recorded all the stock footage of Wikimedia project pages and, people using /editing Wikimedia projects but, still need help with the one liners. We need to record some people from Jimbo to the average editor (note: the average users we record must not be sleep deprived or drugged up communists - that said, we have ruled out 92% of our community) but, to do that, we need to first write them. (continue reading)
Statistics Projects
Hey all! Just something else I want to bring up; as you know, we are going to (if it ever happens) begin a statistics group. We have the software but, it needs to be set up by someone who knows PHP. It is real simple but, will take about 30 minutes or so. (continue reading)
Hey everyone!
Just thought I would update you about our fundraising projects. I have been working with some other media students trying to throw some sort of campaign together. We have been trying to think of something which will get people's attention in an interesting way. We have looked at methods of publicity from digg to animating Jimbo but feared some bad feelings towards us - as they say "if you're gonna be hated by Jimbo, you better have God on your side." One thing that sandy brought up which we thought of was a button or sticker which could be used for publicity or something (continue reading)
In case this didn't get through.

Subject: RE: [Wikimediauk-l] Wikimania as a communication project
Dear Andrew, Gordo, Gary, and all
Firstly, sorry for the confusion. It's Simon. Have to use the sandyd account
to stop the overflow of emails that always come from first attempts on a new
email list(s).
I appreciate your hyperventilation - another stupid idea. The last one was
when I suggested (a long time ago) to a few computer companies that, due to
Moore's Law, they should rent their computers rather than sell them (and
when the laughter had died, set up a funding mechanism between computer
companies and banks). Now I'm told what a stupid idea it is to buy. I'm
suggesting the same kind of change in context here = Comms not Info.
Have replied at OCLC's forum to help my failing memory keep a thread,
http://forums.oclc.org/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=11732&pageNo=1&num=20
I hope you will take a squiz. Especially at the virtual rooms stuff. I can
see you like the idea of broadcasting from Wikimania, wherever it might be
held, and while the comproj teams are reforming it seems a good time to get
a new comms model in place. It's quite possible to do a global thing but we
gotta use the appropriate tools.
All the best,
simonfj
I have to say, as a classifier I started hyperventilating with
laughter at this point. Of all the things that are completely
inappropriate to use for anything like our projects, DDC must be high
on the list...
(DDC is essentially a system for arranging physical books in a linear
order. In an electronic environment, it's... well, about as meaningful
as "alphabetising things" for any form of structured information. Not
to mention the fact that it's immensely legally encumbered!)

Hey all!
For those of you who haven't already been driven insane by me on the irc, I would like to tell you all about the blog I have set up for the CPG. The blog is located at http://www.loopaustralia.com/cpg/ I have set it up so, we can keep members up to date with important information since, the list seems to have so much discussion, it is difficult to sort through the actual information and the general congratulations towards thunderhead (I wish I had such a welcoming )
The way the blog is set up, you can register at http://www.loopaustralia.com/cpg/wp-login.php?action=register with your meta username and email. Once you have done this, you will be able to comment and post new stories. This would be a great asset to the cpg. Please register if you haven't already since I would like to get it going as soon as possible.
There has already been a post, take a look for yourself. All the data is encrypted on my servers and is not used for any other purpose.
thanks

Welcome aboard.
But has the train already left the station?
