Hoi,
There is no way that I would consider the wikien-l as the obvious place to
read about things specific to Wikipedia in general. When people mistake the
English language wikipedia mailing list for just that, they will miss out on
the people that are involved in the "other" wikipedias..  Yes, I know some
will think what other
Wikipedias<http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/List_of_Wikipedias>
