As far as copyright-related matters go, please use [[Wikipedia:Possible 
copyright infringements]] instead of instant deletion.  This is our 
established mechanism for even apparently-obvious copyright violations 
(like copying/pasting from websites), and seems to work fairly well.  
The idea is that we get several opinions, and give the original user a 
chance to say "hey guys I'm the author and I GFDL it" on the occasions 
when we mistakenly assume something is a copyright violation.
