The whole idea of this logo having
such a finality and importance, like
some sort of manifesto, goes somewhat
contrary to the openness of Wikipedia,
I feel, because the concept of a free
encyclopedia offers such constant change
and tremendous growth. It would be better
to not be pinned to this vote. It may be
the case that a '''yearly logo''' would be
advisable. This way there's always
change and growth and a '''gallery''' of
old logos can be on display. And if
the one chose for that year is not
a favorite of some, well the consolation
is that it would only be there for 12
months... The only drawback is this
whole voting thing...

Sincerely,
Jay B.
