I know a lot of the contributors in the
other language wikis weren't interested
in the vote process, being more concerned
with the edits and new additions of articles.
The blue globe with the indistinct lines of
writing has been serving the Interlingua and
Latin Wikis quite well. And we've had some
compliments on it. If the issue becomes a
discussion on those wikis I get the feeling it is
just going to create needless debates. Worst
case scenario the various wikis will continue
to use their own logos... and thinking about
this it is alltogether fine in my opinion if the
French wikipedia uses the dove in its logo,
and the Italian wiki uses it's tricolor banner as
an addition to the blue globe with text on it.
But I'm definitely puzzled about the new logo
which in my mind resembles the Microsoft
Office idea far too much.
Sincerely,
Jay B.
