വിക്കിപീഡിയ യഥാര്‍ത്ഥത്തില്‍ ഒരു വിജ്ഞാന കോശമാണെന്നാണ് കരുതുന്നത്. ഒരു വിജ്ഞാനകോശത്തില്‍ അനുവദിക്കാവുന്ന ഒരു ലേഖനമല്ല
ലൗ ജിഹാദിനെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ളത്. അത്തരം ലേഖനങ്ങള്‍ വെറും വാര്‍ത്തകളായി പത്രമാദ്ധ്യമങ്ങളില്‍ വരേണ്ടവയാണ്. വാര്‍ത്തകള്‍ ഒരു വിജ്ഞനകോശത്തില്‍ കടന്ന് കൂടിയാല്‍ അവസാനിക്കാത്ത വിവാദങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വഴിവെക്കും. ഇത്തരം ലേഖനങ്ങള്‍ എഴുതാന്‍ മാത്രമായി മതമൗലികവാദികള്‍ പൊതു ഇടങ്ങളെ സമര്‍ത്ഥമായി ഉപയോഗിക്കും എന്നത് മനസിലാക്കേണ്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അതിന്ന് പരിഹാരം കണ്ടില്ലെങ്കില്‍ വിക്കി
യുടെ ജനാധിപത്യ സ്വഭാവം നഷ്ടപ്പെടും എന്ന കാര്യത്തില്‍ സംശയമില്ല.
