[Wikimediaindia-l] Top indic Administrators

Hi Asaf,

Thanks for your views. I am in complete agreement with you. However others
may feel that process is as important as editing or that admins are as/more
important as/than editors.The scoreboard effect gives pleasure to some who
value the number of admin actions taken on the belief that such actions are
valuable to Wikipedias in general. These views are generally acceptable, as
long as one does not take these views to extremes. As such, it reflects a
diversity of views in the Indian Wikipedia scenario.

I am one of those who liked your idea. Do you have any ideas as to how to
keep track of such statistics? Is there a bot which can count the number of
welcome templates or messages placed by an editor on new talk pages? I'm
eager to hear more as I'm sure are other others on this list!
