Arguably true. However, your posts still struck me as shockingly and 
pointlessly rude.

Robert clearly did a lot of work that nobody, you obviously included, 
has yet done. That you may--or may not--have a way to improve the work 
is not a reason to accuse him of insulting us. It's a reason to offer 
constructive solutions to improve things.

That I'd have to explain that elsewhere is reasonable to me; sometimes 
we all get carried away when they see what they think is a problem.  But 
here, group collaboration has built a world-class reference work from 
nothing in a few short years. I'm dumbfounded that anybody involved in 
the project could forget the power of friendly collaboration around 
modest beginnings.
