You said "I'm trying to simply ask for opinions as to whether or not 
calling something cruft is uncivil", so I gave my opinion on the matter. 
I even quoted your request for opinions and had an "IMO" in my answer 
for good measure. I don't see a problem here, what other sort of 
response were you looking for?
