You've forgotten to bring forward at least one argument. Fred Bauder 
mentioned a good one in favour of such a policy. Admittedly, I didn't 
explicitly mention one, but I think mine is pretty obvious: It is 
annoying to be bothered with impersonal requests that you have nothing 
to do with.
