Please see the word "advice" in my post.

Of course newbies should be permitted to contribute where every they wish
to, and of course we should be more welcoming and more willing to assume
good faith when they do so.  But I don't think there is anywhere on-line or
off where that is not a risky thing to do, and would always *advise* newbies
to start off slow and feel their way into the more controversial areas of
the 'pedia.
